FILLED PTFE
Carbon-Filled PTFE
On its own, PTFE possesses an excellent coefficient of friction, remarkable elasticity, and impressive abrasion resistance, but it tends to have relatively poor mechanical strength and may experience failure in high photovoltaic service applications. However, when enhanced with Carbon Fillers, PTFE exhibits excellent mechanical and wear properties while still retaining its exceptional frictional characteristics. This combination makes Carbon Filled PTFE a popular and reliable choice for backup rings used in both dynamic and high-pressure applications. Additionally, Carbon Filled PTFE also offers good thermal conductivity, low permeability, and electrical conductivity, making it an excellent option for anti-static applications. We are your premier supplier of carbon-filled PTFE, ready to meet your needs.

Glass-Filled PTFE
Glass-filled PTFE backup rings offer significantly improved compression and wear properties compared to standard options. This advanced material, known as Glass Filled PTFE, is reinforced with varying amounts of glass fibers, typically between 5% and 40%, depending on the specific requirements of the application. As the percentage of filler increases, the beneficial properties provided by the glass fibers also enhance, resulting in greater compressive strength and reduced deformation under load conditions. However, it is important to note that the coefficient of friction properties of this composite material tend to be higher than that of virgin PTFE. We pride ourselves on being your premier supplier of high-quality glass-filled PTFE solutions.
